Walmart recognized the need to provide their suppliers with more information and interaction, so they presented Rockfish with the challenge of creating a digital environment for hundreds of companies that they work with. We developed a dynamic on-line learning environment behind Walmart's secure firewall that provides a B2B information exchange and knowledge center coded in a very visual and engaging manner. We took a best-in-class Learning Management System (LMS) architecture and combined it with social media elements to increase the number of active supplier groups and users receiving direct communications from senior Walmart leadership. This encouraged peer-to-peer communications where suppliers could help one another, which in turn reduced call volume internally to the Walmart Private Brands team.
